Chery has conducted an extreme battery test by submerging a Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) battery in simulated seawater for over 53 hours, demonstrating its water and corrosion resistance. After immersion, the battery was reinstalled in a vehicle and performed flawlessly, passing all electrical, installation, and road tests. This test, part of their "Global Safety Challenge," validates the battery's durability in harsh, flood-prone environments.

For the high-voltage battery (in hybrid / CSH / electrified models), there is a special warranty: 8 years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first), with coverage to restore the battery to at least 70% of original capacity if it fails because of a manufacturing defect
